How Does A Blower Motor work?
The blower motor is used for the distribution of vented air from the air condition evaporator. It transfers heat from outside the car to the inside or from inside to outside. Modern day vehicles have blower motors close to the dashboard or adjacent to the kick panel. The centre of the heater and evaporators are located in different places. The blower motor is generally located close to the heater and the evaporators.

Type of Blower Motor
There is more than one type of blower motor. There is the top root type blower and the turbo charger blower. The top root blower motor is situated at the top part of the engine in place of the intake manifold. The turbo charger blower motor is often used at its end and it resembles a snail. It is compelled on one side by exhaust pressure and on the other side by pressurized air going into the cylinders.

Motor Resistors
The blower motor's speed is generally controlled by a motor resistor which is located near the air passage and the blower motor. Blower motor resistors vary and come in two types. The coil wire to is used to generate resistance. Others use the transistorized model of resistors. It operates the same as the coil wire and is located in the same proximity. The higher the car is above sea level, then the thinner the air becomes. The resistor is located in the air passage because resistors that lower voltage creates heat and the air passage tend to keep a very cool temperature. The head control can be automatic climate control or manual control. In manual control mode, manual programming is what the fans react to. In automatic control mode, the fan reacts to temperature sensors. There are inside sensors and outside sensors that deal with temperature. The control head in automatic will try to keep the temperature balance. It is also in the doors and window system. When the sensors pick up that the door windows are open, the device that controls it will increase the fan speed to regulate the inside temperature.

Sometimes failure will be found in the blower motor resistors. You can check this by starting the vehicle and then switch on the climate control. Check the blower motor for power. If there is power then you have a bad motor. If there is no power then check the resistor. If there is power then the same thing applies for the resistor.Your resistor has gone bad. Always make sure your blowers motors are dispersing air around your vehicle properly.
